He finished
Runaways. He's still overseeing the comic book
continuations of Buffy and Angel. This
Fall, Joss Whedon will even return to the Fox network, having
created the Eliza Dushku series Dollhouse. Sure,
that looks more than watchable, but it's not going to hold
a candle to what Joss*
has to offer us this summer.
In a
season of loud blockbusters, he's giving us the greatest
gift of all -- and it will fit right on our computers. Neil
Patrick Harris. Nathan Fillion. A liberal sprinkling of
Whedon regulars -- I'm pretty sure I just spotted Adam Baldwin.

*Joss
Whedon is like Emily Dickinson now. No, not that he stays
in his bedroom all day and writes about a mysterious someone
who will someday come along and love him. It's that it seems
wrong to be editorially formal and call him Whedon. It's
Joss. Or Master, if others are around.
