Gary Cole
voices The Spectre... excellent, excellent choice.

On
February 23, Warner Home Video releases Justice League:
Crisis on Two Earths, a film that pits the Justice
League (duh) against their evil doppelgangers, the Crime
Syndicate.
What
makes this release a bold step forward in the DC Universe
line of movies, however, is that they're including a short
film. Featuring Jerry Siegel's other enduring superhero
creation (with Bernard Baily) The Spectre, it's like getting
a back-up story in one of your $3.99 books. Only Warner
won't be charging more.
Here
now is the first look at images from the short, written
by master of horror Steve Niles. (And why no one has tapped
Niles to go ahead and write a Spectre mini-series
is beyond me. Unless it's happened and I'm totally psychic.
Can you tell it's really late right now?)
Click
on the images for larger hi-res versions. I was already
jazzed as a Spectre fan, so I'm biased here, but it looks
pretty cool.

Special

Spectre" available February 23.

| In
the time honored tradition of giving Jim Corrigan
a girlfriend who doesn't understand why he's so
cold, this short includes the character of Aimee
Brenner, voiced by Alyssa Milano. |
