Mike Allred and The Golden Plates

Depending on which coast you live on, either this week or next will see the release of Mike Allred's dream project, The Golden Plates. An adaptation of the Book of Mormon in comic book form, it is the project that caused Allred to set aside work for the Big Two like that long-rumored Metal Men revival.

I interviewed Allred a couple of weeks ago for Meridian Magazine, an LDS website, and it was published today, Friday October 29.
